Ways You Can Succeed At College And More
Ways You Can Succeed At College And More Going to college is very exciting, but it's also fairly intimidating. It is a big transition in life and will broaden both your education and life skills. Living by yourself for the first time and dealing with a full load of classes is not easy, but it is a great learning experience. If you worry about your ability to adjust to a college workload, then consider taking a study skills class. Sometimes people breeze through high school, but hit a brick wall in college. Improving your study skills can enable you to succeed in your classes and reach all of your goals. Consider living on campus even if you go to school close to home. Not only will you miss a lot of things going on, but you may miss out on your first opportunity to live on your own and make your own financial and social decisions. If you can possibly afford it, live in a dorm. Before taking a test, do a thorough review of your notes. Studying is crucial for a test, but a complete review of your notes just before taking the test can keep the information fresh in your mind. The fresher the information is in your mind, the more easily you can remember it during the test. This can better your performance drastically. If you are concerned about your finances, keep track of everything you spend for two weeks. Write it all down in a notebook and then look over it to determine what most of your money is being spent on. This can help you to prioritize if you need to. Do this periodically to make sure you remain vigilant about your finances. Hopefully you know now what college is all about and how you can balance school and life together. Just make sure you use what you've read and you'll find smooth sailing from here on out.
